Moon Landrieu Made a Mistake…

I’m sitting here waiting for the usual screams.

I’ll answer this one when the screams of the guilty finally calms down.

Yeppers, I’m the Transsexual, lesbian, anti-christian Priestess Bitch, and I’m looking for the defense of the Jeffersons, BOLD and Jordan racist/opportunist supporters to counter my statement.

Bring it on , and the Creole girl shall counter you.

The Chocolate Meltdown…

Nagin is calling for an investigation of our “if they are Black, let them go” D.A.. Our Police Chief doesn’t want to enter the fray. And our D.A. doesn’t wish to answer to the charges whilst the Feds and the State are finally climbing the gates.

Okay, this little Creole girl is finally getting into this fray. I don’t do the Black vs. White poop… I’m part of all sides, but when it comes to governance and public safety, this bitch must speak her mind, and for my Gentle Readers… it’s time to speak out.

Things must change into an equitable sharing of power and responsibility. Being the majority does not mean you hold the keys to the Kingdom.

And this comes from from a “colored” girl that desires all to live in harmony. (See bigots on both sides… some of us in the middle wish the best for all of us.)

For the rest of you shits, black or white… fuck you!

Sin-nator Vitter’s “Past”?

When I posted last night on this breaking news, I couldn’t go much farther than just the current scoop. I’d heard rumours about Saint David Vitter, but had no real sources to verify them.

Here’s the best round-up of these sources, Oyster over at Your Right Hand Thief gives us the smoking gun. (Or is that a “dripping” gun?)

Ah Sin-nator? For the good of our State, and especially for those of us who are trying to rebuild our homes after the Federal Flood of 8/29, I ask that you now resign from your office, and resign yourself to your fate which will be meted out by your wife. For all of us impacted by your hypocrisies, it would be for the best. You ARE NOT the kind of person we need at this point in time. (Or at any time… )

Update- WDSU has some more on Vitter’s dealings with the Canal Street Madam.

Hidden Titheing For Christian Groups in New Orleans

This is a post I never wanted to write (even though I’ve seen the signs of it for several years), and I must apologize to my friends who are good Christians for what I’m doing right now: I’m attacking the “business” of religion, the subtle ways in which “Christianity” is milking American taxpayers for their own needs, even when the taxpayers are NOT of that faith. This is not an attack on someone’s personal Spiritual beliefs.

In today’s T-P is an article concerning Xavier University and 21 properties that it owns. I’ve been following the circumstances of many house demolitions on Squandered Heritage since the Blog was established. I’m seeing that many of these homes slated for Federally-payed demolition belong to various Christian organizations, and that most of these properties owned by these organizations have been their properties for years and they have let them rot.

They are now demanding their pound of flesh from all of America’s taxpayers for these demolitions, even if some of us are not “believers”. This is NOT right.

Also, consider the loss of property taxes when these “companies” buy up land.

Our property taxes pay for city services that we count on to keep our locale clean and safe. Remember what our city was like prior to the Flood: rotting streets and houses, crap for police protection, decaying playgrounds and a failed education system that should have produced educated people instead of the criminal element that we all have lived with for years. (yes there were crooked politicians, but I’m looking for a bigger culprit.)
That was the cost to all of us in New Orleans when around 60% of the properties here were considered “tax exempt”. Nothing has changed on that front except that now… Federal money is being demanded to tear these places down, and the “companies” reap another harvest of money from those that are not theirs. They don’t have to pay for their failures of purpose. (If they were failures, which I really doubt.)

The answer is that it shouldn’t come out of the purses and wallets of those not involved with those “businesses”. I gain nothing from the product offered, and yet I must pay for their stuffs?

(One glaring example is St. Francis Cabrini Church in Gentilly: expensive to the Arch Diocese to maintain prior to the Flood, and boarded up with no mitigation post-Flood. It was left to the Feds to foot the bill for removing a building that the Archdiocese didn’t want when Holy Cross decided to rebuild there.)

This is the same Archdiocese that owns many properties in the city that have been moth-balled, so to speak, before the infamous Flood.

These parcels should be owned by families and businesses. They should contribute to the common welfare. They could be assets to the community as a whole, not sink-holes that community money disappears into for their “needs” one morning per week. The monies required for the “businesses’” schemes rightfully belong to the PEOPLE that lived here and are trying to rebuild their lives and communities.

These are the people and the causes that the Christ believed in, not the creations of those of power and money.

In the New World the playing field shall be leveled: no business, including the religious ones, will have tax-exempt status. We are a polyglot culture, very diverse, and there is no reason for those of us who aren’t believers to be tithed for that which means nothing to us and gives nothing to the entire community.

This is one of the basic tenets of our Republic, and we must live by that.

The ACOE Is Killing Us

Fix the Pumps is today featuring the new internal ACOE report on the “work” the Corps have been doing to get flood protections around the city up to snuff.

Matt entitled his post: “Bombshell”. My only response to this report is “Oh Poop on a stick”.

All of this “repairing” of our mis-designed and improperly built levee systems and the new pumps should be seen as a betrayal to the folks of New Orleans and the American taxpayers. It is CRIMINAL ACT!!!

Reparations for all of New Orleans and our area NOW!!!

Dollar Bill Gets Indicted!

“WASHINGTON – Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., was indicted Monday on federal charges of racketeering, soliciting bribes and money-laundering in a long-running bribery investigation into business deals he tried to broker in Africa.
The indictment handed up in federal court in Alexandria., Va., Monday is 94 pages long and lists 16 alleged violations of federal law that could keep Jefferson in prison for up to 235 years. He is charged with racketeering, soliciting bribes, wire fraud, money-laundering, obstruction of justice, conspiracy and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Jefferson is accused of soliciting bribes for himself and his family, and also for bribing a Nigerian official.”

OMG! Sweet Zombie Jezuz! Warren Riley has seen the light?

I’m not touching this one lest I completely lose it. Screw it! Gotta do something with this one:

“We are focusing now on hardcore offenders,” Riley said at a news conference updating the efforts of a joint federal and local task force. “We are slowly pulling away from the minor violations.”

Warren honey… did ya’s really think going after the little criminals would allow you to actually stop the kingpins? ‘Eh?

Riley has previously reasoned that clearing the streets of street-corner dealers and addicts would put pressure on the most likely murderers and murder victims.

Is this considered reasoning, or taking the easy way out Mr. Chief Honcho who ignores your best people’s advice. (I stated your best people, not your fluffers.)

New Orleans- 18 Months Post-Flood

Professor Bill Quigly has written up a piece for the Louisiana Weekly that is a spot-on take on what our city is doing and not doing a year and a half after the Federal Flood.

Here’s a snip from the middle of the report:

“It is impossible to begin to understand the continued impact of Katrina without viewing it through the lenses of race, gender and poverty. Katrina exposed the region’s deep-rooted inequalities of gender, race and class. Katrina did not create the inequalities; it provided a window to see them more clearly. But the aftermath of Katrina has aggravated these inequalities.

In fact if you plot race, class and gender you can likely tell who has returned to New Orleans. The Institute of Women’s Policy Research pointed out “The hurricanes uncovered America’s longstanding structural inequalities based on race, gender, and class and laid bare the consequences of ignoring these underlying inequalities.”

The pre-Katrina population of 454,000 people in the city of New Orleans dropped to 187,000. The African-American population of New Orleans shrank by 61 percent or 213,000 people, from a pre-Katrina number of 302,000 down to 89,000. New Orleans now has a much smaller, older, whiter and more affluent population.”

We, “The 200,000″, aren’t the ones dragging out the rebuilding process of the Metro area, it’s that business and politicians are the big impediments to creating a healthy city. It is their expectations of big money and their bigotries that are at play here. The rest of us just want our lives and city back.

NOPD at it’s “finest”?

On January 4th, around 5:30 in the morning, Helen Hill was murdered, and her husband Paul Gailiunas was injured. This was one of the New Year’s murders that sparked the March on Violence to City Hall seven days later.

At first the NOPD was saying that maybe it was someone this couple knew that had committed the crimes and they had let him in. A few days later I ran into a source that clued me into certain things going down that night on N. Rampart (like hooded men around that corner hours before), and through a strange series of events, this info was relayed to the NOPD. (I didn’t know what had exactly happened that night, but having lived for several years three doors down from the couple’s place, I instinctively understood what happened.)

A few days later a piece appeared relating the attempted forced entry at the Olde Town Inn, a B&B one block away from the site of the killing and shooting. There seemed to be no connection between the two events (according to the NOPD). I knew better.

Yesterday there was a blurb concerning the fact that Paul seemed to be uncooperative in the investigation of his wife’s murder, even though he had given two statements prior to leaving the city for Helen’s funeral in S.C. (I wanted to follow up on this, but I had shopping chores to do) The article made it seem that he was fouling up NOPD’s “investigation”.

Late this evening I check my news sources and here is this piece on NOLA.com: Doctor Recounts Night of Wife’s Slaying.

(read it, please)

Why did Riley and his minions try to portray this man as being uncooperative? They had all of the pieces of the puzzle three weeks ago, but they have to go public erroneously claiming that he was avoiding their queries? That they had NO CLUES? To make Paul feel like an abettor?

Well, that’s the NOPD under Warren Riley (big fat goof who thinks he’s intelligent… compared to what inanimate piece of fluff, I ask?), the same as when Eddie Compass held the Chief’s post. We have the fucking Keystone Kops reborn here. They can’t figure out whether they are investigating their asses or a pothole. (They actually brought a “perp” to my home in order for me to ID him. Fucking assholes! You bring the supposed criminal to my freakin’ god-damned house? A rookie should know better than that.)

Warren Riley should be drummed out of the NOPD in disgrace, especially because of the destruction he has wrought upon the community and the force. The Fed DOJ must take over NOPD and asshole Jordan’s DA office. (We have some very experienced police officers that beat the shit out of our last two NOPD head clowns. We just need some ADAs that “get it”.) We have to take back our policing and justice system from the idiots that set this crap in the first place.

This is OUR city, white and black alike. None of us should keep back what we see and know from our forces of justice. We are part of the policing, and the damn NOPD and DA’s office should keep us safe for being good citizens, and they must fucking act upon info gathered, then indict, and end the revolving door that we have at the Court.

You kill someone in New Orleans? Your fucking ass is grass. We, the people of New Orleans will no longer let you boys play your tribal, drug, war games anymore. I’ll buy you a ticket to anywhere you want to go… drive your putred ass to the state line, or just put a bullet in your freakin’ brain-case. (The latter is your only option if you hurt me and mine BTW, there will be no Heaven or Hell for thee… as a witch I can destroy your soul for all time, and I will do so in a heartbeat. I’ll answer to the Mother later for that action.)
Just get OUT OF OUR CITY ASSHOLES!!!

Maybe this is part of Sinn Fein, ‘eh?
