Some very disgusting news from the AP.
Understand my feelings here: I have killed chickens, dressed a few pigs, rounded up cattle for the slaughter house, dressed more than my share of fish and crustaceans (it was feeding our family), but never have I been a party to such barbarity as what is going down in P.R. This is totally out of line, and the Goddess shall pay back to these perpetrators exactly what their worthless and inhumane souls deserve.
Mz. Morwen, I could not finish the article. I stayed in the bywater with my dog Flora six days after Katrina. I mean there was no question. Then we caught a ride in a pick-up truck to Baton Rouge, and then further North when Rita came. Still there just wasn’t any question about my dog.
While I still have some trouble with our Presidente leaving us to die, my mind just won’t wrap around such deliberate cruelty to dogs and cats.
I put Flora down this past spring.
Some times I still wonder how we can ever have each other if we can’t have a dog like Flora.
