LD is for true a gracious man.
When I read his email back to me with his reply to my friend, it gave me chills and made me remember *why* I changed so dramatically after the federal flood. I’ve always loved New Orleans but I became fierce when everything went down here. Lately, I’ve lost a part of that fierceness…rather, allowed myself to become less, I don’t know, involved. After 2+ years I felt tired and just sad for alot of reasons. LD seems to have healed that lethargy with his brilliant words. And you, my dear, are another one that speaks so eloquently and passionately about our “beautiful drunken whore”.
I can’t wait to meet our new New Orleanian in person and share y’all with her. She’s gonna love it here.

Well Darlin’ Mermaid, Elspeth’s coming soon and so is your friend. We must be doing something right.
And never worry about losing your fierceness in the defense of our home. You are a “Healer”, which is what I wish to be again, but I still must be a Valkyrie and teacher for our place on this planet.
We need Healers really bad. I wish I could go there now, but the time is not right. Soon though, very soon.
