The T-P (Toilet Paper) is Crap…

How the Hell is it that we NOLA Bloggers can have more info on a possible storm or Hurricane than those paid assholes at the T-P?

I mean, sweet zombie jebus! A few keystrokes on the old keyboard and I have given folks more info and the links than the T-P and it’s journalistic staff can?

God-dammit… locals count on their newspaper to keep them abreast of things that mean something to our lives here. IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE A NEWSPAPER! (Maybe they didn’t get the memo…)

Freakin’ damned mooks.

Stay tuned to my channel here… you’ll get the straight skinny on the weather.

  1. What news is there to report? There’s a storm system out there, it’s not even a tropical depression yet, and not one of the agencies that track such systems has issued any kind of warning. So what’s to report?

  2. Get your ass to the Weather Underground and read a little on this.

One thing about being an intelligent person is that you can look forward to the possibilities of any given scenario. It also helps if you actually have the knowledge-base that can actuate such capabilities.

Obviously, you are sadly lacking in these departments.

We here in New Orleans have a mystery that must be tested, and that is the supposed “work” by the ACOE that should protect us. There is a storm brewing, and the models show it coming here. All I’m doing is giving a head’s-up.

  3. Well, intelligent people also prioritize and respond to threats rationally, rather than flipping out at the slightest provocation, Morwen.

The Times-Picayune article you link to seems to accurately sum up the situation and mentions the possibility that a cyclone may form. What more are they supposed to do?

  4. Rob,

I apologize for being snarky with my response.

I have contractors living in our trailer at the house and I’m very much concerned that they can survive anything that comes this way. (Otherwise they are going to be huddled inside the hovel we live in… )

I’m very much a Mom when it comes to folks, so of course I’m going to flip out when I sense danger. I take care of my folks.

    Namaste!

  5. Apology accepted. If it’s any consolation most of the analysis sites I track are downplaying the threat level on this one:
