Been busy today with other things in the city, but I’ll put more into this over the next few days.

Kinderbloggin is Mark Folse’s website, by the way. I can’t take credit for that clever name. I look forward to reading more about blogging at Kingerbloggin.

Alan,
I know Mark set up Kinderbloggin, just love the name! (Some of his info has helped me greatly in the past.)
Though I’ve been blogging for months, I feel right now as if I am back in school. (I guess I am, ‘eh?)
Query: I don’t wish to kill my old blog… Many folks read it from the Trans community and it feeds to my N.O. Yahoo group to keep them up to date. How do I cross-connect these two, or just transfer my previous writings to here?
I’m a pushy student. LOL

Hey Morwen, Alan is getting me set up as well. I like the new look and have perfect faith you shall learn the ropes, I may even get some pointers once mine is up and running…..

Hi there! Nice new look! A good sight better than Blogspot isn’t it? Just wondering if you’re going to import your old posts from Blogger at some point. I didn’t find it hard when I exported my old blog to WordPress.
Cheers.

GG, it’s great that you maintain your old Blogger blog because of the links to there that would be lost were you to shut it down.
But, you can have that space active AND duplicate your old posts here, so you have a continuous narrative. A one-stop shop, as it were.
Of course, if people really want to read your pre-WordPress archives, they can go to the other space. And, we only have so much time to do these things!
Keep up the great work!

Maitri, Morwen
There is an option to import from blogger. I’ll run it for Morwen after a backup, if you two believe that is the best course of action.
It does make sense to have all the posts under this one search interface.
Maitri is correct in that the old weblog should be kept, and that Morwen should go and post to it every month, to remind people of the move.
It gives you Google juice, too.

Thanks Alan!
After you set GentillyGirl up for me, I decided that I needed to move the older blog’s pieces to this new one and then delete the old blog.
My prob is that many folks in my national community know “Thoughts…”, and the fact that I can feed “Thoughts…” to my N.O. Yahoo group from Blogger.
Can this type of feed be done through WP? (I couldn’t figure it out.) There are also other local groups that might appreciate being brought into the loop on what is really going done here in NOLA.
Just curious….
