National Geographic on Levees « Gentilly Girl- a part of the 99%

Just found this link for a good primer on what we here in SE Louisiana are facing when it comes to erosion and levees.

I haven’t read the story, but I’ve seen the photos and that’s what National Geographic is especially good for.

It occurred to me. Would it be a good idea or a bad idea to make sure that every time the news people do a story about the French Quarter or New Orleans that they also run a shot of the erosion at the levee’s and the still devastated parts of the city?

I don’t know. I don’t want to be accused of chasing away tourists.

Yes hon… like the money-pig boosters of the city would actually tell the freakin’ truth about this place?

We Bloggers can and will do it, but don’t count on the corporate minions to do it.
