Expecting the worst case scenario helps you prepare for the situations under ideal circumstances. In my humble opinion failure to do so is idealistic and ignorant. Prejudice isn’t new to Southerners or reflective of a protective American but the oil used to create the roux for our nations gumbo. I’m not suggesting that exceptions should not exist but check out Bourgeois’ mug shot, he is smiling. It is always important to know your enemy if you have any intention of protecting yourself.
