Whilst the U.S. “seems” to be rivited on this whole bullshit Socialism bailout for the investment bank industry, gnashing their teeth and wringing their hands (mainly the executives and politicians who created this mess) I’m burned out on doing research on the whys, wheres, whos and the final outcome of the rush to save the rich and greedy mooks out there in money land. I’m holding out for a few days to really get into it since I need to build up my source links for the post. (Yes, I’m very anal over the situation.)
So Gentle Readers, I’m going to go over an unbelievable outrage being “researched” right now in our beloved neighboring Parish, lovable, fun-loving, family-values oriented Jefferson Parish… Land of David Duke and his honorable supporters. I tried to write about this last night when the story broke, but my dictum of “Read, Vomit, Delete” kept getting in the way. This hits way too close to freakin’ home for me. Writing from a slow simmer sometimes works better than from a roiling boil.
Consider State Rep. John LaBruzzo, a fun-loving family-values sort who is so very concerned about the impact of the poor folks on State finances and he’s coming up with a solution- State sponsored sterilization. (I guess this might be considered better than “Are there no workhouses? Are there no debtor’s prisons?”) No, our whimsical LaBruzzo wants to “decrease the surplus poor population” with a $1,000 bribe to undergo losing one’s ability to have children.
Here is his rationale for this current attempt at Eugenics Jefferson Parish style-
“LaBruzzo said he worries that people receiving government aid such as food stamps and publicly subsidized housing are reproducing at a faster rate than more affluent, better-educated people who presumably pay more tax revenue to the government. He said he is gathering statistics now.”
Is this the 21st Century way of saying “We don’t want those kinds of folks around”?
On the other hand, he desires perks for the “right” kinds of people-
“It also could include tax incentives for college-educated, higher-income people to have more children, he said.”
Like this world needs more freakin’ Yuppies.
Here’s a little bit from the New Orleans City Business News-
LaBruzzo- “If both the welfare and Social Security system keep growing, one day we’re going to have a small minority of people working to fund and finance everybody else who isn’t working or producing,” LaBruzzo said. “Our kids, who will be working, will be the minority and any vote of theirs will be canceled out. If your livelihood is based on government handouts, why would you ever vote for somebody who is going to lower taxes? They never would. So once we reach that breaking point there’s no return.”
And from Shana Griffin, interim director of the New Orleans Women’s Health Clinic-
“If someone doesn’t have a car and needs to utilize city-assisted evacuation, that makes them a social burden? The fact that he feels so comfortable and entitled to make these statements is a reflection of our society, that we’re OK with the most vulnerable of our community being blamed for the social, economic and political crises that we’re experiencing,” Griffin said. “If we really want to improve the lives of people in our communities we would think about raising the minimum wage, holistic health care, improving labor laws, employment opportunities for all people and the educational system.
“Instead he wants to use a form of medical experimentation and forced sterilization on poor women of color, using their economic status as a way to make them more vulnerable to the offer.”
I also read an article last night where LaBruzzo is worried that because of differing birthrates between the Haves and the Have-Nots will alter voting patterns here in the Gret Stet. He was worried that his kind would lose elections. Sadly, any and all links to articles containing that admission are gone from the Web. I know I read that statement. Can we say “purge an unwanted statement”?

Now, why does this tale affect me much more than just the Racist aspect of the entire exercise? I AM a victim of Eugenics… the things medicine did to Intersexed people years ago in the name of Social stability and normalcy was horrible. We had to be corrected, and often said corrections render my tribe sterile. “Lord knows we don’t wany any of those teratologies (Medical= monsters) in our neighborhood. Think of the children!”. (Screw that shit.)
It has been found that my kind of body may very well have been fertile if the surgeons would have lopped the mis-formed Boy parts off and allowed me to be Female. Did the concept of Eugenics lead them to forever close the door to me reproducing? The answer is- wait for it… YES!
So though I’ve never been on Welfare or Food Stamps (outside of the Gustav food aid), and besides my utter outrage concerning LaBruzzo’s “thoughts” on Social Engineering, I have now developed a healthy hatred towards any one, any one, who voted for this prick or David Duke in the Past. You creatures are the ones that need to face extinction, not those who just live and let live.
May the Goddess have mercy on your wretched, twisted souls.. I can’t.
According to the most recent study, abortion is now fulfilling the eugenic vision of Planned Parenthood’s founder,Margaret Sanger, and blacks are disproportionately getting abortions which reduces the black population.
Given the data, I am curious to hear from those who oppose this legislation and yet support abortion. Isn’t this the ideal Pro-Choice legislation? Why doesn’t the ACLU celebrate this as an opportunity for women to make decisions about their reproductive rights and even profit from their choice?
Also for those who advocate for population control to save the planet, is this not the kind of legislation you would like to have passed so we can reduce our carbon footprint?

I am not a proponent of abortion, but it is a last resort. I support the use of contraception as a primary means of birth control. It’s about a Woman’s ability to Choose.
The $1,000 payment for tying a woman’s tubes? Hell, even that won’t help with expenses for more than two months. Back in the late Sixties there were Racist Congressmen actually toying with the idea of offering a new Ford Mustang in exchange for a Black woman to get fixed.
Population control considering the limits our Planet has- yes I wish to see them, but they must be even all across the board. Race and Class should not be able appeal (except for multiple births) from the regulations.
And on the Carbon Footprint thing, we are already ahead of you- we have a geo-thermal system installed, a Green home and Solar cells coming soon. I will only need gas when there is a storm.
I’ve read some of your Blog… I understand your compassion for folks even when it doesn’t come from the place I originate from. We are not so different in our thoughts and cares. I wish folk to have quality lives, to live as themselves and not have to scrabble for morsels in order to survive.
There will always be poor people… I know, in many ways I’m one of them, but, and this is going to sound strange, being poor in my view is what spurred me on to learn and adapt to the situation at hand. My parents (poor) taught use to overcome adversity.
The God/Goddess only helps those who help themselves.
To be Human means to think. To be Human means to try new things. To be Human means to live.

I dont see whats so bad about this sterlization plan, hey its voluntary. Having one child on welfare is a mistake, having two children is on purpose and having three children when you on welfare now thats criminal. Everyone seems to think that this is going to turn into the government comming to people houses and night and taking their sex organs out, thats the furthest thing that would happen. I think going if one is on welfare for a extended period of time and cannot support her own children then encouraging her to get her tubes tied(not forcing) is a benefit to our society. You have to think rationally and not emotionally. Besides on a more positive aspect the number of welfare recipiants has plummeted in the last 15 years and all people are having less children to in the long run this sterlization thing might not be needed.

Tubal mitigation is PERMANENT. It cannot be reversed. $1,000 prize for undergoing the procedure will never cover the cost to one’s soul if in the Future if they decide to have children.
I didn’t get a prize when they altered me and all of my life I have yearned for that which could never be restored.
My life was altered so that people like you could feel safe and comfy with your bullshit belief system. It wasn’t about my health or life… it was all for you plain vanilla mooks. I was just made safe for people like you.

Well mabye if the poor american black people werent so lazy we wouldnt have this problem and dont u give me this crap that poor american black people work hard b/c every statistic out there supports that view that compapred to other races poor american blacks are generally more lazy. Noticed how i put american, blacks in other countries arent lazy.

Well loverdude, thanks for shining a light upon the “truth”. I have my own spotlight scene for you- I have known and seen so many American White people that are nothing but couch slugs, worthless, uneducated, spineless and spiritually lacking insects.
I thank the Goddess each and every day that I am not White.
Most Blacks folks’ problems in this country are because of the latent Racism that exists amongst the sub-Human mouthbreathing White rednecks that contaminate our Nation.
It’s not so much that they are lazy… it’s about a lack of opportunity combined with many Whites “believing” that a Black person cannot be taught skills, that they are only suited for the most menial of tasks that pay almost nothing in our economy. Prejudice, pure and simple.

There are many blacks that do not work menial jobs and many of the ones that do are not advancing and always complaining that are black people I know that complain about poor blacks being not wanting to do their work.
Well yeah because 70 percent of America is white so there are bound to be a ton of lazy whites but percentage wise a higher percentage of blacks commit crime and are unemployed proportional to their racial makeup in this country. And not to be a stalker but I know for a fact you are as white as my you know what. Another thing, not only are you white but you are sucking up to the lazy blacks, and I know for a fact that many blacks I know (yes I know a crudload of non white people and NO I don’t live in metarie) are mad at the lazy blacks who give them a bad name and they are doing great (so much for racism). It’s racism that poor lazy blacks cannot advance C’mon blacks get into college So easily and compared to whites and asians and have every opportunity thrown at them but many of them are still lazy, stop defending something you know you cannot win.
