I’m Getting Pissed Off at Obama

It looks like Obama-nation is getting screwed again. Appointees from the Clinton (“I did not have sex with that woman”) Administration, a decision to not prosecute the Bushite fuckmooks for war crimes and being just a limp dick when it comes to the fixing of our Bush-destroyed economy.

Can my Gentle Readers feel that I am freakin’ upset and pissed off? That I sense that we the people have been betrayed… sold a bunch of goods that are not what was advertised?

Damn fuckin’ straight.

I have a song runnin’ round my brain (and it ain’t “Cocaine”)-

“We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that’s all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain’t changed
‘Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
No, no!

I’ll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I’ll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There’s nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss”
The Who

I didn’t sign up for this shit.

  1. Whew! Let’s give the poor guy a chance. He’s not even been sworn in yet. I know it’s tempting for us all to look to Obama to start fixing the world as it burns around us. I mean, Bush isn’t even flashing the White House lights off and on to show us someone’s home. But eight more days. . .

But I do agree that “Won’t Get Fooled Again” is timeless!

  2. I haven’t said that I hated Obama yet. (key word-YET).

I was expecting broader actions but it’s true he hasn’t even been sworn into Office. It’s that I have a sinking feeling in the depths of my gut- I’m praying that these feelings are just nerves and not premonitions. (having a partner who is a conspiracy nut doesn’t help)

  3. Gentilly Girl, the economy started tanking in the mid-90′s when Clinton was still in office. Now, I’m no Bush lover, but he simply had nothing to do with it. In fact, presidents don’t have anything to do with the economy, it’s the Federal Reserve Chairman that sets the bar. And guess what, they answer to no one!!! Larry Summers and Alan Greenspan are the real culprits. Summers was Clinton’s Secretary of the Treasury from 1999-2001, and is currently the White House’s Director of the National Economic Council for Obama. In 1999 he personally dismantled the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933. It was a banking regulation act that prevented corruption, and getting rid of it allowed the bankers to become what they are now, “banksters.” Greenspan was the head of the (privately owned) Federal Reserve Bank at the time. He created the ‘housing bubble’ and inflicted “derivatives” on the U.S. market. Both were bad, but the latter is what really fucked us. Greenspan is also suspected of stealing trillions of dollars from the treasury, money that the Fed still can’t account for. Cheers!
