Is 2012 The End of the World ?

Well, there are those mystics who believe that something fantastic will occur in late August ’12. It is to be an Awakening that will move us forward in Enlightenment.  There are others who think it means the end of the World. Since I have a metaphysical bent and love pouring over the information from all sides of the debate, I side with the former.

Late last night I was nodding off at the ‘puter and then a Terrible visage/message appeared in my vision- “Palin 2012″.  ‘Twas scary… take a look-

Is this the Great Beast talked about (ad nauseum) in the Book of Revelations? I know it’s supposed to arrive from the East, but what if that was the origination point and not the travel route. It could cross the Bering Straits and sneak in our back door. (You betcha! wink, wink)

A Warning from the Church of Our Lady of Gentilly- Break out your black candles, sea salt and sage. Hie thee to an armory and choose thy sword. The Great Beast Palinix is slouching it’s way to Washington. I can see her oil smokes from here…

T Minus 4 Hours And Counting…

as we wait with baited breath to witness the greatest humiliation of our time- Gov. Sarah Palin “does” a Debate.

This will be light years better than Sen. Ted Stevens’ “explanation” of the Intertoobs and how they work a few years back. (I thought that one was pretty stupid, and damn have I seen stupid in my time, but Palin is going to set a new high, or is that low, in this field.)

As Dan Quayle put it twenty years ago, “What a waste it is to lose a mind. Or not to have a mind is very wasteful. How true that is.”. Is rampant Republican stupidity a cyclical thing? Or is it just an inherent trait?

Maybe Dan Quayle was a prophet- “People that are very weird can get into sensitive positions and have a tremendous impact on history.”

Frankly, I like weirdness “When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro”, but I don’t apply that to politics, only to living. I expect my politicians I elect to support their constituency, to actually BE OUR REPRESENTATIVES in Washington.  After all, this is a participatory democracy and most of us can’t just fly to D.C. on a whim.  I want someone better than myself to be my voice, or at least listen to it and ponder what I, and the others that make up our community, actually need under the Social Contract for our communities.

I don’t see this with either McCain or Palin. Or actually, I see these two clowns as representatives of an America I never believed in and not the one I fought for-

“The defining moment for me came shortly after Palin and her family stepped down from the stage to uproarious applause, looking happy enough to throw a whole library full of books into a sewer. In the crush to exit the stadium, a middle-aged woman wearing a cowboy hat, a red-white-and-blue shirt and an obvious eye job gushed to a male colleague they were both wearing badges identifying them as members of the Colorado delegation at the Xcel gates.

“She totally reminds me of my cousin!” the delegate screeched. “She’s a real woman! The real thing!”

I stared at her open-mouthed. In that moment, the rank cynicism of the whole sorry deal was laid bare. Here’s the thing about Americans. You can send their kids off by the thousands to get their balls blown off in foreign lands for no reason at all, saddle them with billions in debt year after congressional year while they spend their winters cheerfully watching game shows and football, pull the rug out from under their mortgages, and leave them living off their credit cards and their Wal-Mart salaries while you move their jobs to China and Bangalore.

And none of it matters, so long as you remember a few months before Election Day to offer them a two-bit caricature culled from some cutting-room-floor episode of Roseanne as part of your presidential ticket. And if she’s a good enough likeness of a loudmouthed middle-American archetype, as Sarah Palin is, John Q. Public will drop his giant-size bag of Doritos in gratitude, wipe the Sizzlin’ Picante dust from his lips and rush to the booth to vote for her. Not because it makes sense, or because it has a chance of improving his life or anyone else’s, but simply because it appeals to the low-humming narcissism that substitutes for his personality, because the image on TV reminds him of the mean, brainless slob he sees in the mirror every morning.”

Curtsey to Matt Taibbi for a description of this part of the electorate that I could not have said better.

Tonight’s debate will be a commentary on the true Culture War that is raging in this country- between those who try to make this country a good place to live and those cretinous myth-enslaved, unenlightened, stuck in the Past crackers that don’t have, and never will, a clue about Reality. A clash between the Spirits of the Future and the moronic inferno of the Past.

So at the Zero Hour, I’ll be downing a bottle of wine, some escargot and canapes as the Elitist bitch I supposedly am, and I’m going to witness the horrors that mirror much of the American people’s souls. Then I will hang my head, tears flowing for the country I was raised to believe in and respect.  My soul aches for what the Repugs have done to our Nation since 1980, and I will never forgive them and their supporters.

Here’s another take on Palin and tonight’s debate that caught my eye.

Morons For Palin

Great short opinion piece concerning Sarah Palin on the Huffington Post. (I do take umbrage about the “Tranny makeup” shot… I see her makeup as more like that of a Drag Queen’s, but that’s just me.)

More Palin Poop

Filed under: Campaign 2008,Elections,Fuckmooks,John-McCain — Tags: — Morwen Madrigal @ 3:33 am

My Gentle Readers know that I am days away from getting caught up with mess that is the Repugs because of the storm, but I just found a good piece on how to clear a record of illegal actions… just shut down the investigation by the power of your political allies.

Republican Ticket = Lies

Yes, I did get to see some of last speaches from that dung-heap called the Repug Convention. McInsane’s words were boring, but Sarah Palin’s bullshit pushed me over the edge. If, and only if, the Repugs win the Presidency and McInsane dies in office, this bitch will be trying to roll back so many of the gains of Women’s and LGBT Civil Rights gains over the last 40 years.

We have fought too long and too hard to allow the forces of ignorance to destroy our lives and freedoms. We do not wish to enter the Dark Ages again. Never again the Burning Times. Never again to be ruled by religious mooks that hate who and what we are.

I’m still digging dirt on Palin, and yes I will be very active during the last two months of this campaign, but I just had to tell you about this collection of Palin’s actions and lies.

Curtsey to the Humid Haney Rant.

Gays Liked Bush More Than McCain… Spare me

Filed under: Barack Obama,Campaign 2008,John-McCain,LGBT,Politicians — Morwen Madrigal @ 3:06 pm

So it seems that the LGBTQ community doesn’t like McCain very much. In fact the Bushite had more backing from the community than Sen. Walnuts is getting.

Well, first off, what’s to like about McInsane? He’s delusional, lacks concrete knowledge of History, especiallly the section he has lived through and he’s just a nasty, old, cute butt and money guy on the prowl.  “Baby? Wanna see my scar from when I was a POW?”. The S.O.B. dumped his first wife, devoted as she was because of the effects of a horrible accident, in order to marry an heiress and a “looker”.

Overwhelmingly supporting Senator Obama over Senator McCain in the presidential election according to results of a Harris Interactive poll released this morning, it is also predicted that McCain will garner less of the LGBT vote than President Bush did in 2000 and 2004.”

Now if we sane Queers can just change the minds of of brothers and sisters who still support the “Shit Talk Express”.

Senator McCain is Stupidly Evil or Evilly Stupid

Some days ya’s just think that ya’s woke up in an alternate ‘Verse.

Anyone who votes for John McCain is a fuckmook. Here’s his take on the housing crisis-

Watch this.

If one extrapolates his statements on the above topic, just imagine what he WILL NOT Do for us in New Orleans and the Coast.

“Friends do not let friends vote for McCain”, that or we just have to shoot you, okay?

Fucking damn straight.

Obama lays the path down. It’s about time for a voice to speak the truth.

McCain: The Manchurian Candidate

Filed under: Campaign 2008,Politicians,Progressive News — Morwen Madrigal @ 3:45 pm

McCain didn’t drink the kool-aid, he was programmed years ago and his captors just pulled the trigger.

Go here.

Yes, I’m going to be very involved with the election now. (but you expected that)
