Remember “Maine”

Just fuck me now. Yesterday  the Christa-fux voted to dis-allow Same-Sex Marriage in Maine even though it was approved by the Courts, the Legislature and the Govenor. The recognition of equal rights for all Americans was negated by a bunch of cross-wearing fools that hate lives like the one Betts and I have together. Their “religion” tells them that people like us are evil and do not deserve the Rights of being a couple and living a life together. (Same shit went down in California last year with Prop. 8.)

They have decided that they can have Rights not available to other Americans that they deem unacceptable.  People like me and mine don’t count in America. We are to be discounted as Human Beings. This is wrong.

I’m not a slave to a “burning bush”. I do not believe in a book written by Mid-Easterners from as far back as 3,500 BCE.  I am a well-educated person living in the 21st Century. I’m a scientist, an engineer and a retail manager. I know how to live in the Reality that I’m presented with.

I’m a tax-paying citizen of this country and a Veteran. I don’t over-tax the Social network because I do things on my own. How fucking dare you cross-wearing mooks deny me MY RIGHTS just because you or your holy book don’t agree with my life. (I’m not the one birthing 12 kids when I can’t pay for them)

I gave almost ten years of my life to defend this country and Her ideals. I defended your right to live your life even when I disagreed with your choices. Never, NEVER, would it be in my soul to deny you your desires or beliefs.  “Different strokes for different folks”.  What makes you better than me? What about your life outweighs the life I live? Nothing that I can see.

My life with Betty is one where we work our tushes off to support community and other efforts. We are people that believe that unless you are a criminal, just live your life. Your lives are like ours; choices. How do we differ?

I have a solution to this entire problem- we get rid of all special benefits for married couples. We eliminate all benefits for kids. Hey, we are all just individuals and none of us should get more goodies than another. And let’s get rid of the tax exemption for religious companies?Let’s level the playing field.

Can you see an equitable Future that I see?

So you fucking Christa mooks, take your filthy hands off of our lives. Do not attack us for our ways and we don’t come after you for being Stone-Agers.  Let me and mine live our lives in peace.

Me and mine will eventually have full equality in this land… you may not like it, but FUCK YOU.  We are citizens of the United States.

Don’t Let the Big Telecoms Suck Away Our Money

The following comes from the FreePress Action Fund-

President-elect Barack Obama has committed billions of dollars to rebuilding America’s crumbling information infrastructure. It’s a bold part of his economic stimulus plan that will revitalize our economy and our democracy.1

But as Obama’s plan moves through Congress, it’s come under siege by phone and cable lobbyists seeking to turn our economic stimulus into their blank check — written out to corporations like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon with no strings attached.2

Only a public outcry will ensure that public tax dollars go to serving the public interest.

Free Press has a five-point plan3 to ensure that any public investment actually serves the public interest. Our plan makes crystal clear that any taxpayer money should support broadband that is:

  1. Universal: focused on connecting the nearly half of the country stuck on the wrong side of the digital divide.
  2. Open: committed to free speech and without corporate gatekeepers, filters or discrimination.
  3. Affordable: providing faster speeds at lower prices.
  4. Innovative: dedicated to new projects only and available to new competitors, including municipalities and nonprofits.
  5. Accountable: open to public scrutiny so we can ensure that our money isn’t being spent to prop up stock prices and support market monopolies.

Building better broadband cannot be another corporate bailout. It must be a buildout for better democracy.

Connecting everyone will give more Americans a voice in government, better educate our children,4 revitalize rural economies, and bring hundreds of thousands of new job opportunities to those who need them most.

Greedy phone and cable companies have squandered America’s global Internet leadership — overcharging consumers, throttling content, stifling innovation and dropping us from fifth to 22nd place in world broadband adoption.5

With the economic stimulus package on the fast track in Congress, our plan needs your support right now.

It’s time we changed business as usual in Washington. Help jump-start the economy and restore accountability and openness to America’s communications policy by acting today.

Thank you.

I’m Getting Pissed Off at Obama

It looks like Obama-nation is getting screwed again. Appointees from the Clinton (“I did not have sex with that woman”) Administration, a decision to not prosecute the Bushite fuckmooks for war crimes and being just a limp dick when it comes to the fixing of our Bush-destroyed economy.

Can my Gentle Readers feel that I am freakin’ upset and pissed off? That I sense that we the people have been betrayed… sold a bunch of goods that are not what was advertised?

Damn fuckin’ straight.

I have a song runnin’ round my brain (and it ain’t “Cocaine”)-

“We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that’s all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain’t changed
‘Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
No, no!

I’ll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I’ll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There’s nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss”

The Bailout B/S

Here’s a great illustration of what Bush, Paulson and Berneke are trying to keep alive-

Like we didn’t understand this poop from the beginning? McCin/Palin doesn’t get it.

Republican Ticket = Lies

Yes, I did get to see some of last speaches from that dung-heap called the Repug Convention. McInsane’s words were boring, but Sarah Palin’s bullshit pushed me over the edge. If, and only if, the Repugs win the Presidency and McInsane dies in office, this bitch will be trying to roll back so many of the gains of Women’s and LGBT Civil Rights gains over the last 40 years.

We have fought too long and too hard to allow the forces of ignorance to destroy our lives and freedoms. We do not wish to enter the Dark Ages again. Never again the Burning Times. Never again to be ruled by religious mooks that hate who and what we are.

I’m still digging dirt on Palin, and yes I will be very active during the last two months of this campaign, but I just had to tell you about this collection of Palin’s actions and lies.

Curtsey to the Humid Haney Rant.

“is feeling a lot like intimidation and harassment.”

Filed under: Nagin's Minions, New Orleans, Politicians, Seccession, Sinn Fein, Socialist Progressive — Morwen Madrigal @ 8:09 pm

Here’s an editorial from the Times-Picayune concerning the spending of our “missing” Mayors staff.

A snippet from the piece, and then I fucking go off-

“Neither is his communication director, Ceeon Quiett, nor his director of intergovernmental affairs, Kenya Smith. Those two charged $81,268 of the more than $150,000 that the administration spent on travel, hotels and restaurants in a six-month period from September to February — more than the other 17 aides who use the account combined.

Mr. Smith said in a May 17 e-mail that documentation supporting his expenses would satisfy any criticism of his spending. A month later, there are still no documents. Mr. Smith responded to a reporter’s questions about the lack of paperwork with an empty assurance: “I’m sure our folks have provided you what there is and would be happy to accommodate you if you think there is more.”

He also said that the inquiry “is feeling a lot like intimidation and harassment.”

Kenya Smith is the epitome of fuckmookery that Nagin and his idiots have given to the folks of New Orleans via City Hall. Intimidation and harassment? Fuck you asshole. You are spending our money, and you will not provide the details on what and why you spent taxpayer’s money?

This little colored girl believes that you should be burned at the stake for these statements. I will personally preside over the lighting of the brush under your feet. Thou shalt burn merrily.

Whilst we CITIZENS of New Orleans are fighting tooth and nail to rebuild our lives and the life of the city, you fucks are wining and dining without explanations as to what you are doing in our name and with our purses. This is OUR MONEY Mr. Smith. It is to be used for the people of the city and not to fill your gullet or inflated ego.

The people of this great city desire an explanation, and you had better deliver baby.

Not My Druthers, But Today I Wish…

Filed under: Aside, Socialist Progressive — Tags: , — Morwen Madrigal @ 2:18 am

I Wish I was a Grannie.

Before I was 1 year old all chance of being a grannie, or a mother, or a great-great grannie, went down the tubes when a faulty Culture felt that they could “control” the Destiny of others unlike them. They got to choose back my “identity” then. I was programmed to a certain course. (Yeah… right.)
Well, this little Soul knows that they were/are wrong, and that she would have taught her children well, been there as things didn’t always fit the Beliefs, helping when the “Culture” created situations that would weed-out “what was not their own”. To “see” what a real person sees. To be intelligent and thoughtful, caring and innovative. To give a damn because we have seen alot…

And we don’t want the ones to come to have to see the horrors and cheats that we have witnessed during our time in this Plane. This doesn’t mean that we are the ne plus ultra of the Sages and Wise, but that we passed on our stories and our priorities, pains, hopes and desires. That we give them the right textbooks, and someone to do homework with.

With that above, here’s something interesting to read. (Not long… KOS can wait.)

Anyone can postulate a “New World”, but I believe in a living Real World. (Child-like, eh’?) They must be able to bear witness to what they think, see and feel. They must live Life and pass that information along. The problem comes in when where the slant of the observations come from: “No Change” or “Become”.
Can we teach our children well?

That is the question.

For myself, the choice has always been to “Become”..

“Be Blessed!”

I’ve Been “Obama”-ed

Another reason to vote for Obama and not a “Bush” in a skirt.

This little Creole girl is not voting on the basis of Race, but what she thinks is best for the Country. I also think having another Clinton in the White House is almost as bad as having another Bush.
