3 Feedbacks on "Who Remembers The White Kitchen?"

I remember passing it all the time and hearing the stories. I think it was closed before my memories kick in. One of those stories was about how the Beatles stayed in that motel down the road from White Kitchen. Flew from their concert in N.O. to their motel in a chopper. My mom claims to have been one of the screaming fans blocking the road at the motel as they arrived.
Found another legend concerning the Kitchen: Jayne Mansfield’s group stopped there prior to the fatal crash later that night. (forgot the link, but I can find it again)
The thoughts and dreams of a New Orleans Native exiled from her home by
Hurricane Katrina. It is also my place to defend the rebuilding of
Gentilly, the best part of the city.
