In today’s T-P there’s an article about Jay Batt-shit’s announcement concerning a grocery store on S.Carrollton.

The important part is down near the bottom. Marc Robert II said that the grocery stores on St. Claude, Canal, and Robt. E. Lee will be remodeled and will re-open. The latter he said will be operational by Oct.1.

This is darn good news. Outside of going to Whole Foods and Dorignac’s, all of our grocery shopping can remain in the city, and with local businesses no less. (We cook alot!)
